ELECTRIC WORKS
FORT WAYNE, IN
Electric Works is a mixed-use district of innovation, energy, and culture, developed as a public/private partnership between Ancora and the City of Fort Wayne. A redevelopment and reuse of the former General Electric campus, Electric Works includes 39 acres, 18 historic buildings and more than 1.2 million square feet of space for office, retail, residential, hotel, and entertainment uses.

Adaptive reuse of a former cigarette manufacturing plant with a difficult one-acre floor plate. Recruited first expansion of Cambridge BioLabs for life science innovation space. Received approval for an atrium to create more useable space.

Master planning of a 200-acre Innovation District. Managed development of Phase I, which included adaptive reuse of a former phone manufacturing facility and the first expansion of Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) outside of Cambridge, MA. Featured in Brookings Institution’s The Rise of Innovation Districts: A New Geography of Innovation in America.
