Jeff oversees customer relationships, property operations, leasing, and innovation services. He brings over 30 years of experience and, as a principal in the development of over $1 billion in real estate, has worked with leading anchor institutions at the intersection of economic development, placemaking, and sustainability across the U.S. and internationally.

Nicole oversees all development and construction activities for Ancora L&G. She has led $2.7B in development and construction projects for both private and publicly held companies. Nicole’s experience spans the full life cycle of development and multiple asset classes, including complicated master planned and phased projects.

Jennifer directs corporate financial strategy, financial operations, and company and project capitalization. She structured long-term equity commitments of $1B, closed $1.7B of financings, structured and underwrote $3.4B CMBS and on-book debt, managed a pension fund’s $1.5B global portfolio, and asset managed $1B+ of real estate for diverse funds and separate account clients.

Dr. Kirby leads the Connections & Insights team which helps anchor institutions build new partnerships within their communities. His experience spans both public and private institutions where research and innovation are core missions, serving in Chief Operating Officer roles at Rice University, Columbia University Medical Center, and the National Institutes of Health.

John has over 30 years of experience working on large public-private partnership and anchor institution based mixed use development. He has worked on several award-winning projects spanning urban redevelopment and university lead real estate and mixed-use development covering 2.5 million square feet totaling over $2 billion in value.

Ursula leads the assessment of new markets and institutional partners, and actively finds, develops, and often sources funding for partnerships and tenants that generate innovation buzz and substance. Her thirty-plus year career has been focused on the intersection of commercial real estate and economic development.

Pete has spent his career helping colleges and universities optimize real estate solutions through innovative public-private partnerships. First as an advisor, then as a development partner, Pete has supported nearly 100 institutions in the planning and delivery of campus projects that are both mission driven and market responsive.

Hank’s focuses on Innovation Communities. He was Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Cortex from 2010-2016, and Chair through 2021. He helped a 200-acre urban technology redevelopment district in St. Louis grew from under 100 companies and 1,000 jobs to over 425 companies with 6,200 jobs.

As a scientist, researcher, professor, and former university leader, Dr. Thorp brings a deep understanding of anchor-driven projects with a focus on university relationships. He served as provost at Washington University from 2013 to 2019. Prior to that, he served as the 10th chancellor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2008 through 2013.
